NAHL Announces Monthly Player Awards for February

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced its Bauer Hockey player awards for December. The Forward of the Month is Nick Jarmain from the Johnstown Tomahawks. The Defenseman of the Month is Eddie Revenig from the Bismarck Bobcats. The Goaltender of the Month is Michael Modelski from the El Paso Rhinos.

 

Bauer Hockey NAHL Forward of the Month: Nick Jarmain, Johnstown Tomahawks

Spotlighting a center stage performance was the captain, Nick Jarmain, in the month of February. Jarmain is the leading scorer on the Tomahawks, and this past month, he produced a 15-point performance in his eight games played. The New Jersey native tallied eight goals and seven assists in February, with this past weekend spotlighting six of those points. The 5-foot-11 skater featured a career-high four-point game on Saturday night against the Rochester Jr. Americans, lifting his team to an overtime victory. The second-year veteran has shown up on the scoresheet for the past seven games, featuring five multi-point games. This past month, Jarmain also got the opportunity to compete at the USA Hockey Arena for the annual Top Prospects Tournament. The captain represented the Tomahawks on the East Division team.

Jarmain went into detail on what it means to earn this recognition and why he has felt he has seen success.

“I am super grateful to get this recognition, and I would not have been able to do it without my teammates, coaches, and the people closest to me. I think just enjoying the game and every moment I am on the ice while having fun has led to being successful.”

The 5-foot-11 forward from the Garden State has earned two East Division Star of the Week distinctions this season. The second-year veteran is one of the top scorers in the NAHL. He is tied third overall among skaters with 32 goals on the season.  On his roster, he leads in all offensive categories, spotlighting 25 assists and 57 total points on the season. The captain has played a total of 113 career games for the Tomahawks, registering 79 career points for the team.

Geoffrey Beauparlant from the Tomahawks went into detail on how the captain has continued to be a key piece.

"Nick contributes to the team's success in all areas of the game. He can play in any situation as his compete and consistent effort are second-to-none in our group.  He is a leader of men, and his maturity shines through in difficult moments. The organization is extremely proud that he has earned this award through his play and his leadership both on and off the ice."

Bauer Hockey NAHL Defenseman of the Month: Eddie Revenig, Bismarck Bobcats

The 5-foot-11 blueliner from the State of Hockey, Eddie Revenig, showcased league-leading numbers for offensive production in the month of February among defensemen. Revenig laced up in eight games for Bismarck in February, featuring 1.38 points per game. He tallied two goals while making nine assists for the Bobcats. The first-year NAHL skater showed up on the scoresheet in six out of his eight games played this past month. The ‘06 skater featured a career-high four-point night on February 13, 2026. The Bemidji State University commit also spotlights a +8 rating on the ice during the month.

Revenig explains what this honor means to him.

“This award means a lot to me; it shows how team success can translate to individual success. I’d like to recognize my teammates and coaches; without them, this would not have been possible. At the end of the day, we only have one goal in mind, and we continue to work towards that every day.”

This season, the Edina, Minnesota native has been recognized once with Central Division Star of the Week honors on February 15, 2026. On the season, Revenig has laced up in 40 games for the Bobcats, tallying eight goals while making 24 assists for the North Dakota team. He features three game-winning goals and a +11 rating.

Head coach of the Bobcats, Garrett Roth, shares more on what he has seen from Revenig this past month.

“Eddie has done a tremendous job this season with his offensive output and his ability to break pressure in the defensive zone. He plays well in every situation for us and has continued to improve throughout the course of the season. Eddie had a great month offensively for us, but he was a major impact, stabilizing things when there were momentum shifts in games. He was a calming presence for us and helped lead the way towards a successful month for our group. Eddie has continued to lead the way with how we want to play, and I'm excited to see how his development continues through the season.”

Bauer Hockey Goaltender of the Month: Michael Modelski, El Paso Rhinos

The 6-foot-1 netminder from New Boston, Michigan, Michael Modelski, has been a defensive key for the El Paso Rhinos in February. The 20-year-old played between the pipes in five games for the month. In the crease, Modelski featured a league-best .969 save percentage and 1.01 goals-against average. His best contest between the pipes was on February 20, 2026, where he featured his first shutout with a 36-save performance against the Lone Star Brahmas. Modelski’s ability to keep games tight for the Rhinos is another reason why he has earned this monthly distinction. His lone losses from February have been from performances where he allowed one late-period goal. His work in the blue paint is another reason why Modelski was named as a Top Prospect for the 2026 Top Prospects Tournament. The ‘05 goaltender was named to the South Division team.

The Michigan native describes how it feels to be named to this honor.

“This award means a lot to me because it reflects the trust of my teammates and the work we put in every day. I think what helped me be successful on the ice was staying composed, keeping my preparation simple, and focusing on making the next save. I’m grateful for my teammates and coaches who push me to be better every day.”

The 6-foot-1 goaltender's ability in the crease is why he leads the league with his .936 save percentage and is ranked fifth overall for his 2.22 goals-against average. The Michigan native has been recognized once this season with a South Division Star of the Week honor on February 23, 2026, for his performance against the Lone Star Brahmas.

Head coach of the Rhinos, Mike Rivera, went into detail on what stands out to him about Modelski’s skill between the pipes.

“We are really proud of Mo for receiving this honor, and it comes as no surprise with the way he has been playing. His compete, tracking, and athleticism to make the big save are first-class. He has stolen multiple games for us and continues to impress as the season progresses. Our group is very confident with Mo between the pipes, and hopes he can continue to trend in this direction down the stretch.”
