Chippewa Goaltender Friedman makes NCAA Commitment

The Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Noel Friedman has committed to play NCAA hockey for Chatham University in the UCHC.

Hailing from Denver, Colorado, the 5-foot-11 netminder, Noel Friedman, will play in the blue paint for the remainder of the 2025-26 season for the Cougars in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Friedman is a first-year goaltender for the Steel. This season, the 20-year-old played between the pipes in seven games, saving 185 shots. Friedman is a former netminder in the T1ER, playing with the Omaha Mastery program in the 2023-24 season. He featured three wins in his four games played, spotlighting a .923 save percentage and 2.25 goals-against average.

Friedman is one of three members of the Chippewa Steel to make a college ice hockey commitment.
