Sunday Wrap-Up: Odessa Secures Sunday Victory

Odessa 7 @ Amarillo 6 - The Odessa Jackalopes picked up a 7-6 win over the Amarillo Wranglers on Sunday night at the Budweiser Bull Pen. Amarillo opened the scoring in the first period, but Odessa responded with timely goals to stay even heading into the second. The Jackalopes took control in the middle frame, scoring four times with goals from Nicholas Puricelli, Jeremy Jacobs, and Chris Graves to build momentum. Amarillo answered with goals of its own to keep the game tight, including tallies from Caden Hegarty and Ian Buors. Odessa added two more goals in the third, including Jack L’Esperance’s second of the night, and held off a late push from the Wranglers. Amarillo outshot Odessa 35-32, but the Jackalopes held on to secure the one-goal victory.
